These are the vehicles that will be used int e Brutus Diorama for the Transportaion Museum at Ft. Eustis Va. I have to redo some of the markings on the burning tanker The dio base is to be 45 1/2 inches long by 22 1/2 inches wide and only 8 inches tall.
You can see the rest of the vehicles for the dio here

Animal,
Looking great. The fire/smoke effect looks awesome and realistic. Fire is one of the hardest aspects to capture in a model/dio. Looks great. Keep us posted on the progress.

Thanks for the comments guys. This will be my first serious Dio. I have been studying all you experts and trying to learn as much as I can about the art.

Whooooaaaahhhhh!!!!.......way too flipping cool animal!!

Man, I seriously want to be your neighbour for a spell! Just so I could look over your shoulder and learn from our Mr. Miyagisun!
And you're building this for the Transportation Museum to boot!
Geeeeez, between you and our Gunnie you fella's are building some very honourable piece's. And I for one am proud to 'virtually' know you!

Your fire & smoke simulation looks superb. And as everyone knows, that's a real tough one. . But with your usual aplumb, you've managed to pull it off ya bugger!

Hey...just as an aside, and a 'throw-it-out-there' kinda thing. There is a product made for the RR people. It's a really small piece (trying to think of the name) that RR people mount in their locomotive's to generate smoke in a small way. This might be something to think about incorporating either now, or in a later dio to simulate real smoke. It's one of those things that you can only use, say, during a model show or something, but........just something to think about.

Tread.

BTW.....you're not finished yet. I think we need to see a little 1/35th scale 'animal' sitting in the driver's seat!
Whadaya think guys?

Wow - that fire got my attention. That is one of the best fire representations I've seen.
The maroon in the fire is a bit maroonie but that's a real nit pick - I like it.

keep us posted.

Wow Thanks a million for the kids words and suggestions. I think that you are right a little deeper red is in order. I will work on that. I still have to add some smoke around the tires. I will add this once the truck is in place on the base.
