I was looking at the new Squadron Mail Order flyer that I received today and I saw a kit that I have a question about and I figured that one of you could answer it for me. I see that Revell has a 1/72 scale kit of a British Cromwell MK. IV with a Cullen hedgerow device on the front. I have never seen any pictures of anyone else using these other than the Americans. So I was wondering if the kit is correct.
I am sure that the fans of British armor can help me with my ignorance on this subject. Thanks in advance for the help everyone.

I know the Tamiya kit also includes the headhodge device. According to this site
WWII Vehicles there was a Cromwell "Prong" that had the Cullen device on it. I haven't been able to find any pictures of this on an actual tank though.

There is a photo of a Cromwell IV with 'prong' in Chamberlain & Ellis 'Encyclopedia of British & American Tanks of WW2'.

It was fitted to one Cromwell as an experiment. This vehicle is featured in the Darlington book on the Cromwell.

In Squadron's "D-Day to Berlin," there are lots of pics of Cromwells and not a "prong" among them.
There is, however, a photo of a Firefly with a Culin device and it has definitely been "used." It was certainly not common.
