Hi Guys,I am brand new to this site and forum, very nice I have a problem with a set of AFV CLUB M26 PERSHING T80E1 tracks that I bought for a Tamyia M26 PERSHING,they don`t fit the drive sprocket of the model, they are to wide for the sprocket about 1/16 to wide. Has anybody out there run into this mess,I tried to get hold of AFV CLUB on this matter but trying to find those people is like trying to find hitler .Any help on this will be greatly appreciated . Hi Tabledancer,

A little while ago I asked the question, which Pershing tracks to buy for my Tamiya M26.
Somebody indeed told me that the AFV tracks were too wide, but however, this is simple to recover by adding a spacer between your sprocket halves.
BTW, I've purchased the WWII Production tracks; they were disigned to fit the Tamiya kit.

Hope this helped, John.

I had the same problem except I had already glued the drive sprocket. I just cut the part that guides it over the road wheels. The thing that hangs down off the bottom of the track. I'm not sure what the term is. I only had to do it to 7 links and you can't see inside the sprocket.

Hey there,
Actually, there's no reason to "blame" AFV Club for anything. The T80E1 tracks were much different in width and "track pitch" than the T81 tracks that are depicted in the kit and by the WWII Productions tracks described by others.

I have adapted the Tamiya Sprockets recently and the things that I did were taken directly from the following article by none other than Jim Lewis( Guntruck to us here on the web )

If you need help or guidance just let me know. That Pershing is one of my favorites.

Here's a link to Gunnie's article.

Later,
Tim
