Cool, even includes the mounts for any extra 'devices' that you want to add!

Damn !!! I can feel my credit card slipping out of my wallet already!! Looks like a good starting place....I'll have to check my refrences but I think there is a lot to do on the exhaust system to make a real Mark IV... Hey nothing us modellers can't do ...right ! erhh ..I hope ! :-)

AVRE still needs the other stuff like a dove, bridge or a mine roller, right? This is just a basic engineering vehicle

hi
before going out & buying i surgest you have a look at Missing Links site Allied Discussion group & my pictures plus what is on the Armoured Engineers Branch REA website.
week before last there was a big disscussion about these plus measurments,
Resicasts i belive is the best.
what i have found out from original crews is that they would either only take off the center section of track guard only or remove everything except the bit in the middle by the turret or the rear mudguards. not what it shows in the kit.
also have a look at the website about the Churchill Tank website you will find more information there. i have on both allied & churchill sites posted lots of information over the last year.
have a look at my gallery as well.
i knew more about churchill AVRE's at 12 then i did about football. why well simple my farther was a Assault Engineer who drove a Churchill AVRE Mk 4 in the war & was still in Armoured Engineers in 1953 then i did 74-87 in Armoured Engineers as well. i hate football.
i am just finding out that not all devices were used on all beaches and some squadrons like 77 only had 4 AVRE's left after the intial landings.
not all used the old type track plate.
hope this helps ossie
