I have a lot of photos of the base with vehicles on my webshots site. They are rather large and I am not able to upload them into our gallery here. So I have attached a couple of URL's to view the work if you are interested in seeing them. http://community.webshots.com/album/134058611XQDGab/3 http://community.webshots.com/album/134058611XQDGab/4

Hey Dave, your dio looks really good. I have one comment though. I am not sure what this tanker is transporting but I am going to assume that it is something combustible and highly flammable. Am I right? If so, than the tank might be just a bit too close to this tanker. With all that fire, everything in the close proximity to the tanker is going to be history very soon. On the other hand if this tanker is hauling water than there is no immediate need to panic.

Tanker had a 1/4 load of diesel fuel. The tank showed up about 40 minutes after the truck was hit in response to the request for help from the Brutus crew. Because of the size restrictions and the requirement to have the tank in the scene It has to be displayed this way. Thank you for your observation though and I agree with you. In reality the tanker was about 45 yards further down the road than is depicted in this Dio. I tried to show the tanker at the end of the burn. From the photos that I have of the scene, the tanker had already pretty much burned itself out. I tried to portray this in the tanker. The main focus of the Diorama is the Gun Truck Brutus. I still have all the figures to finish and install. The whole scene is after the Brutus was fragged by an NVA soldier from on top of the hill above the truck. The Playboys and the tank and infantry support came to the rescue of the survivors.

Great dio, the fire effect looks good as do the crazed windows. My only little point might be that M-48 and Brutus are "floating over the terrain a little bit.
Nice lighting on the photos too, that really helps add a lot of drama to this piece.

Thanks again. As far as the floating of the vehicles they have not been put into the final positions and were placed for the photos. They have all been removed to finish up the bits and pieces that need attention. Along with some of the great suggestions that I have received for m some of you great Dio guys. I am working on the figures and with all the figures that were contributed for this project by some fantastic members here I am able to make the poses fit the scene a lot better than I had expected. I forwarded the photos to the Museum and they seem to be happy with the progress, which is a load off my miniature mind. I hope to be able to finish everything this week and get back to building some more for the Haul It Campaign. Just for the pure fun of building..
