some flat racks so we could drop them off at a TA battery of RA who were are supporting during their live firing ex we go a week on Friday should have some nice shots of 105 light guns on the back of this,
BTW these are also used to transport saxon/scimitar AFV's as well as a host of other stuff

Excellent pictures. Looking forward to more!

Pardon the dumb question, but do these trucks carry any type of containers, or are they strictly set up for this pallet arrangement?

Looks very similar to the US Army's PLS (Palletized Loading System). One difference is that our pallets have steel rollers at the corners so they don't tear up the asphalt when laoding and unloading.

Does your system come with a palletized trailer to tow behind the truck?

As far as containers, you can place and secure a 20-foot standard container on the pallet, up to 16,000 pounds and load on the PLS.

No thet are set up to take the pallet set up although some of the racks are fitted with extra
brackets so they can have an Iso container fitted,

yes we can fit a king trailer to the rear of the DROPS and have another rack on that also
the DROPS can carry 16 tonnes as well so it must be a NATO standard weight the trailer can also carry the same weight as well so brings the full weight up to 55 tonnes if fully loaded, BTW we are also trained to use the unloading action for self recovery should it get bogged down I'll post a picture of the the DROPS with a king trailer later
