AEF Designs now has their M2 turret interior available. Her is the verbage from their web page:
KA-54 M-2 turret interior Includes, 25mm breech, sight systems, periscopes and other details. $15.00
Not sure how good or complete it is, there are no photos. Site still lists Nov as availability, but a reply to my email to them said the site is not updated and it is available. Will be curios to see what is actually in the set.

Look under the link for Desert Storm II (OIF) for lots of modern detail sets.

I hope Tony got his ducks in a row when he did this piece. I have had some major headaches with some of his earlier releases. Also curious to see how it looks. Thanks for the update Heavy.... "Q"

Well i hope they service home customers better tahn they do international one's....personally speaking i would touch this company with a ten foot pole !
Not really Phantom_Major, ordered from AEF once, he shipped me (I live in NY) the wrong kit which didn't have all the details. By the way, his BRDM-2 Sagger has a completely wrong interior-the one in his kit is for a regular BRDM-2!!!!!!!!!!

Another bad experience here. It took twice as long as I was told it would take, then one of the items was missing parts. I sent several e-mails and go no reply. I finaly got him on the phone and he said he would send the parts right out. I e-mailed him 2 more times after that. The last e-mail I sent I let him know that if he does not give me the parts or my money back I would let everyone know about the experience I had when ever I got a chance, and I have. I look at doing business with him like I do the stock market, don't invest more than you can afford to lose.
I am glad some other companies are coming out with more modern armor stuff because he had the largest selection a couple years ago.

Does anyone have any good experiences with A.E.F. I was thinking of getting some of the new OIF stuff from there but you all just scared me out of going through with my order.

I too ended not getting the turret interior set from AEF Designs. I emailed the company a couple of times requestinga photo/s of the set, possibly a review, or at least a description of exactly what comes in it. They said they could not provide any info. Therefore, I didn't buy it blind. Ended up scratchbuilding the turret on my M-7 B-FIST, I think it came out better anyways.
Blacksmith,
I see by your signature block that you are/were in 11ACR. Are you currently in the ACR and stationed at Ft Irwin? If so, I am at Irwin too, OPS GRP. Small world.

If they have something you really like, try to find it from a different source like E-bay or another hobby shop that stocks his stuff. I would do some research into what your thinking of getting because some of the stuff is good and some (like the old ruck sacks) are junk.

I think my sig line says it all...
There is also a de-motivational poster from despair.com, "The only common factor in all your dysfunctional relationships, is you."
Listen to your gut. They are exactly like most people say.
Great topics, poor castings (sometimes, it's a crapshoot), crummy directions, and the most abysmal customer service in the buisness....
... and those are my GOOD experiences.
Walk away and use the money to buy booze, the giddy feeling lasts longer, and the hangover 'why did I do that to myself' lasts a shorter time.

The biggest problem with AEF is that he has nothing in stock and a reqular job. Once you place an order he then makes the item. I have ordered from him twice and the results were the same. I received exactly what I ordered it just took about 6 weeks to recieve. Castings were fairly good however several required extensive clean up. Direction are fairly non-existent so be sure to have plenty of resource material on the ready.

Well this little posting has pretty much turned me off from the AEF stuff. They had some pretty interesting kits, but with what I see here about their customer service and substandard molds....I think I will pass.

I made a special trip to Denver when Tony, (AEF owner) was located there to pick up a kit I wanted. I got it at a little lower price since I drove up to get it. What I saw when I went in kind of took my breath away Dog crap every where, not to mention trash. The operation was set up in the basement and it looked like a small nuclear weapon had gone off. Parts and pieces everywhere, boxes, reference pictures, etc. Even though I made the drive and watched him pakage the kit right in front of me.....I got a lot of stuff that wasn't for the particular kit I was wanting, and didnt get several pieces that should have been with it. As was stated earlier, its a crap shoot as to what you get. Tony has since moved and I have no idea, nor do I care to, where AEF is operating from now. If you really like taking risks, or just like to punsih yourslef with lots of re-fabricating, give one of his kits a go, but don't say I didnt warn ya! "Q"

I bought their T-72 turret off of eBay. I specifically asked the seller about any flaws before hand though. It was the first AEF Designs item I bought that didn't have any casting flaws, sink holes, etc.Does anyone have any good experiences with A.E.F. I first tried their stuff way back in the late 80s when they made the first M1A1 conversion. My turret was incompletely molded and I have to use putty and sheet styrene to finish it off.
Every other time I tried their stuff (besides the eBayed turret), it has had some issues.
