Hi
I have a Tamiya M60A1 and I was wondering if there is anything I can add or make in order to make the model more real. Nothing fancy or hard (my first attempt), a first step :-)

THanks for the help.

Joey--- that is an easy model to build out of the box. If this is your first attempt, I would recommend you just follow the instructions and build her from the ground up. The guys in the Rivet Review Forum will offer you constructive crticism following your build if you post some shots to that Forum. Take your time, add some stretched spruce for the antennas and enjoy building it.

Hi
It's my first attempt at adding to a model not my first attempt at a model.

In which case, I would probably pick up the Eduard PE set for it. I have done the one for the Academy M60A1 and it ads quite a bit. Other than that, you may want to replace the tracks. I know AFV Club has a set that is supposed to be quite nice.

hi Yonaton,
if this is your first attempt to detail an armor model,i think best thing to do is to find some M60A1 walkaround photos and check for the details you can add to your model. when decided you can ask(if needed) in Armorama for hints and tips on how to make this detailing.it will be a pleasure to help you in my limits.
if you can tell about the nationality of your build (israel,USA,Austrian,Turkish or what) armor modelers can help you to find detail photos of your project.
best regards
P.S: plz see this for a good M60A1 by Werner Kamphofer

Werner did a fantastic job on that vehicle. The track is fine in my opinion, the gun tube can be replaced with any one ot the zillion now available aND THE ADDITION OR ABSENCE OF THE Xeron searchlight is an option. Nice kit regardless of what you do to it. Mine is the old battery operated one so I had to mask off the holes and spaces above the drive sprockets.
Study the photos and ask the guys here about it.
Good luck

Hi
I'm going to build the IDF M60A1 OOB.
I don't want to spend money on after market, I want to build the details myself so if anyone has a link to a good IDF M60A1 walkaround please post it

Thanks for the help.

Amigo-- try sending a PM to Shiron. He had a great deal of information on IDF vehicles.
