I'm probably sticking my foot in it by asking this, but how do you thin Vallejo paints ?? Thinning Humbrol, no problem. Thinning Tamiya Acrylics, no problem. But I cant seem to get a good mix for the Vallejo paints. I've tried distilled water, tapwater, boiled water, Tamiya thinner, nothing seems to work. The thinner seems to sit on top of the paint. Any clues/tips ??

I use Vallejo all the time, and I use regular tap water with no problem.
Can the paint be old? Have you popped off the little nipple and stired inside real good?
I am sorry if this sounds like I am talking down to you. These are the only 2 things I can think of that could be your problem.

Hi Pete, I bought the paint a few weeks ago, so unless it was old in the shop, its as good as new. I shake the bottle for 2 to 3 minutes before I use the paints, as per the instructions.
I didn't know the little nipple was removeable, I'll try that, see what happens. Thanks for you thoughts.

Yup, just pop of the nipple, but dont make a mess. Stick a tooth pick in it and stir it real good. Sometimes, the pigment doesnt shake up well.
