Anyone know how decent the Eastern Express 1/35 KV-85 kit is? Additionally, the KV-85 is not a tank I am very familiar with, was it is wide use during WW2?

It's not bad. There are some sink mark issues here and there. Builds up into a pretty good model with a little work. Here's a KV-1 (similar to the KV-85) built by a friend, which also appeared in a recent issue of MMiR:

The KV-85 really didn't become common in WWII (at least from I read). Produced less than other KV models as it became redunant shortly after coming off assembly lines because of the T-34/85 and IS series. From what I remember, it only saw limited action.

Rob:
Here's the best page on the web I've seen for the KV-85: http://www.battlefield.ru/kv85.html
I'm using an EE hull ( I got for next-to-free in a contest raffle) with an MB resin turret, Fruil tracks, and a whole lot of patience to do a KV-85 in 1/35the
