Hi all,
Does anyone know of any info on the use of weather-balloons during the Vietnam-war? Pictures, drawings, dimensions, anything is welcome. Just thinking of doing a diorama with one of these balloons (one day ) .
Thanks in advance
Mark

My dad sent me a few of these in 1969 when he was in Vietnam. IIRC (I was 10 then), they were about 3 feet across when deflated. Inflated, I think they were several yards across and much longer the long way. The Air Force has long handled weather duties for the Army. You might want to try searching for "U.S. Air Force weather Vietnam" on Google.
