These are some pics from my first ever dio, it was ment to be set in the franch countryside, dont know how realistic it is i wasnt really going for accurracy just some fun.

I realize the ground is glossy need to make it more realistic some how, need to experement, and as you can see the tank isnt done yet around 90% complete

** Not very good view i know, i will take more pics soon.
It cant be that bad can it?

Add some depth on your tank by sinking it a bit. The front treads are floating.

Nice job. Nice way to break into diorama building and a great way to make your Tiger stand out.
Couple of things I would offer. As mentioned sink the T into the dirt. If the ground is already dry you can build up new ground or you can add some debris from the crater or reposition the tank untill the length of the track is down.
Pastels will do the trick on the the sheen, and a few colors of pastels. Make sure you add the same color to the lower part of the T to blend it into the surrounding area, especially the top part of the tracks (top as they run back to the front across the top of the road wheels).
The crater could use some painted clean kitty litter sprinkled inside and around. That dirt had to go somewhere.

Is that 1/72 scale I like seeing new work in different scales

how would i go about making deeper track marks in the mud its wasnt as easy as i thought it would be they are kinda shallow

p.s i'll take a pic of the other side of the tank the track is blow out i was going to have a guy with bazzzoka sitting in the fiels alond with some other paratroopers moving up to the tank, unfortunatly i dont have any wounded german tank crew that i was going to have hidding on the other side of the tank.

For tank depressions you have three choices
1. Grind down the ruts. Use a dremel with a sanding drum or a diamond bur. Trace the tacks with pencil and then grind out the rut and repaint.

2. Raise the road to put it on a slant. Add wall spackel to the current road surface to put it on a slant. While the spackle is wet put down a piece of kitchen plastic and push the tiger into it to make the ruts. Remove the tank and plastic. Paint weather and put the tank back

3. Add debris under the tracks. It will take a bunch of debris to hold up a tiger. Crush clean kitty litter to the right size. Glue down and paint.
