117.33 euros. Considering the scale and finess of modern molding, a first class scale model should be possible without spending lots of $s on aftermarket items. Imagine how much a set of aber would cost ... for the tamiya tiger it was $200 (?). So around 120 euros is acceptable. If you consider the leopold, it dropped about 20 euros in the first few months as competition built up between dealers. (dont think dragon will be competing) This, hopefully will be under my christmas tree this year! I vant, I vant, I vant .............
Now hopefully tamiya or dragon will add to their 1/16 range and bring out a few reasonably priced figures!

I don't know if I will ever be truly ready for these. I'm not even a big T-34 fan, but the size and completeness of these kits excites me. I would have no problem with kits like this becoming the norm in the industry. Well, maybe if the majority stick in the 1/35th scale area.
Trumpeter continues to amaze me. They have taken some huge steps forward within the past couple of years.
Just imagine the aftermarket madness that is soon to follow!

Hi, Remember folks, this is the first of THREE of these big bad boys planned to be put out by this company this summer/fall. They also plan a 1942 model and a 1943 or '44 T-34/85 as well, at least this is what I've heard.
Have been working lately on Academy's 1/25 scale German tanks and I have to tell you, the bigger scales have spoiled me. The 1/35 kits seem to darn small anymore. This may also have something to do with the age factor too. Ha, ha!
Yes, I can see Aber tooling up already, esp. if the planned 3 kits do come to pass. This will be just too good of an opportunity to pass up I'd think. Not to mention other companies making different odds and ends in resin as well. How about some 1/16 scale weapons, uniforms, figures, extra ammition, tow cables, and assorted other goodies in this scale too. How about some of those white metal track links for this baby! Of course we may have to refinance the house here!!!! I sure do hope the kit tracks are up to snuff.
It would be really nice of MMiR would do a Modeler's Guide to this vehicle like the ones thei've done on the Sherman and Tiger family.
Take care, Sgirty

Hi again. I have really been impressed with Dragon's new releases this year. The T-34s and Sdkfz 251, Firefly and such. And am looking forward to the 1941 model when it comes out. as well. Really, really nice models. Am also looking forward to Trumpeter's Karl mortar with the railroad cars later on this fall as well. Although I would like to see them concentrate on the T-34s instead. Maybe a KV or IS-II in 1/16 would be nice as well. Or Sherman, Cromwell, Panzer III and/or IV.......... Ha, ha! Just one or two vehicles from each nation in this scale would make some collection!!!!!!!!

Here's the part I wonder about: Sure, the choice of 1/16 for large-scale makes sense in that they're keeping with existing products from other manufacturers. But they have the opportunity to set their own standatds, if you will. Since they're releasing so many 1/24 aircraft kits, why not make the bold move of doing their large-scale armor in 1/24, to go with the aircraft?
I've always found the clash of scales to be kind of amusing...
