Hey guys, I just posted some pics of a diorama I did for a local museum for a D-Day exhibit they're doing. It's of an LCT at Gold Beach offloading some Shermans. The LCT is the old Lindberg kit in 1/125 scale and the Shermans are 15mm Wargamming pieces

I like teh shipie and shermans but the scene i dont (its just my personal opinion, no offence!)

Considering the small scale of the tanks, and LIndberg's moulding standards, you've made a good job of the LCT and vehicles. I agree though about the beach, that length of sand would have had hundreds of men, two or three more LCTs, barbed wire, steel obstacles etc.

It is a very nice diorama. Very well worked. But so clean and less detail. I agree with the barb-wires, antitank obstacles. It looks like offloading takes place in a peaceful terrain

yeah, I know,I know. I was working on a limited time schedule though and I couldn't get my order in time for beach obstacles and more infantry before the museum needed it. I'm hoping to be able to do a quick fix on it when the extra items arrive. Seeing as my order is still a couple of weeks due from England and the exhibit will be on display for a year.

Well done!! Neat to see a small scale dio.. I really like the wave patterns on
the water. Two things to consider- wet sand is a bit darker where the water
washes up on the beach which may be there, but hard to tell in the photo.
Also some foam on the sand from the receding surf could be added, however
it looks like a wave is just about to break on the beach so may not be much
foam.. just some ideas.. Post any updates and it looks like the museum
goers are in for a treat..
