Ive posted this in both the painting & armor forums.
Ive tried to use Model Master Panzer Dunkelgelb 1943..Its seems so green? or is it just me?, any recomendations on how to mix for proper shade?
or do they make a better color?
I have Tamiya Dark Yellow which in my opinion, is a closer match..but
I have a fear of using Tamiya and MM Acryl on the same model.
Oh by the way, this is for the three tone (yellow, green, red brown) Tamiya Panther G late version.

Actually the Testors is closer than the Tamiya. I use both and Tamiya is my emergency supply. I would recommend using it. As far your free of useing it with the Acryl. You should be fine. Tamiya paint sold in the States is acrilic paint. Just use denatured to thin the Tamiya Paints. HTH STUG

It does seem awfully green, check out the Bergepanzer I did in the Braille scale part of the armor forum. I painted it in MM Dunkelgelb and it was a really green color.

I also used MM Authentic Dunkel Gelb and for me It is too green. I agree with preceding speakers Tamiya XF-60 is the best. However Tamiya XF-64 (red brown) is too red for german camouflage.

The MM Dunkelb IMHO is far greater than the Tamiya dark yellow. This is the 2095 Pz Dunkelb 1943 isn't it? Cause i used it on this tank:
As you can see, the dunkelb blends in beautifully with the tamiya deep green and tamiya flat earth i used as Camo. (PS the camo netting is done with ink and watercolor... a coincidence it is a simliar color!!)
Hope this is a help to you, propboy.
