The sand around the grass makes a huge difference. Nice progress on this.

Don't forget foot prints in the soft sand. Also matt down the grass where he is sitting.

If you feel up to it, a strap on the rifle would be a great addition.

Nice Diorama! I may have missed a post on the leaves of your tree, but what did you use to make the leaves?

Good morning Five Oduece,
The bark of the tree is made of dry donkey thorn and the branches and leaves are dry oregano branches painted in green shades.

I do agree there too,
one little tip i may give is his right hand looks like it will be glad with a cigarette, a soldier enjoying the quite piece will have his dream come threw with a cigarette :-)
Seriously may be you should do something about that hand it doesn t look like natural
My idea
Anyway great dio

hi RIMA,
You are right on your comment. My first idea was that he would keep a bottle of beer . The story would be that he had a couple of beers,he is drunk to forget the cruelty of war and that he is far away from his home wife and children, but I think that a sigarette enjoing nature beauty would be a good idea.I don't know yet . I'll decide as soon as I'm about to finish it. The head and his uniform isn't really shiny , in fact the fotos makes him looks like this , but I am going to add some dust on him. You can't be clean in country side.
