mixing paint..easy way?

Is there an easy way to dissolve the thick stuff at the bottom of paint ie humbrol. Would putting the tin in warm/hot water work?

Why would you do that ? Doesn't stirring do the works ?

I know what you are talking about. Sometimes that happens to me using Model Master enamels. The only thing I can suggest is to stir it like crazy and maybe put some beebees in it and shake it around. Good luck.

I sometimes use BB's too but find that they initially have a hard time breaking up the 'gook' of paint that forms from lack of use. I usually use the wrong end of an old paint brush and stir vigorously to get a good consistency and then replace the lid and shake-letting the BB's finish the job.

I guess if your using a paintbrush to stir paint would it realy be the wrong end?
lol. I save the blob ,buy a new bottle ,and use the blob for putty, weld seams, whatever.

Hi Padrino - That thick stuff is the "pigment " and all you
need to do is give it a good stir.
It will dissolve during stirring, and this will let you know
that your paint is thoroughly mixed.
The "pigment " is great for dry-brushing - Modelers take a scoop
of it out from the bottom of the bottle, put the small glob on
your palette, and dip your brush into it - remove until the brush
is almost completely dry and do your drybrushing.
