I have seen these kits everywhere and finally noticed that they have the HVSS suspension could they be converted back to WW2 late Sherman Tanks Maybe M4A1E8 or M4A3E8 with new hull and other aftermarket products.Could this work maybe with some super modifying and a good budget.Dragon is so stubborn about releasing US WW2 tanks.Everything needs to have a Iron Cross or Swatizka.
Has anyone tried this before or thought about this maybe you steer me in the right direction.

you are correct about he hulls and running gear, however IDF shermans had completely different turrets,
to make either a M4A3E8 (welded hull) or M4A1E8 (cast hull) you would need a turret from a 76mm armed sherman.
also fittings like fire extinguishers etc would need to be altered
cheers

AJ,I am going to be doing a conversion on the M4A1E8 using the DML M51 kit It looks like the Italeri upper hull will fit on the DML lower hull without any problems The way I am doing it though, is by cutting off the Italeri engine deck and putting it on the DML upper hull The rear engine deck over hang will have to be cut up some to be the same as the Italeri one
Also, the rear exhaust plate is coming from the Italeri M4A3 kit For some reason Italeri has that included with that kit
The reason I am using the DML hull is because it has a good cast texture

Did this last year, with an Italeri 76mm turret, engine deck and rear plate on the Academy kit. US fittings were used instead of the Israeli items. It works out pretty well.
