You know those molded, rigid styrofoam pieces used for packing power tools, appliances, etc.? The next chance you get, take a long look at them and see if you can envision hills, valleys, foxholes, trenches, stream beds,...............

If nothing else, break them up for debris... the corners and some detailed moldings can be covered with plaster and painted to look like large chunks of buildings that have collapsed.
