Ok.... I have a kit here the Flak 88 from Tamiya. Now, I want to preshade the edges (which means that the edges would be darker than the base coat). Now, do I need to drybrush it? If so, should the drybrushed paint lighter than the base coat or darker?

Shonen Red,
Preshading is usually done with an airbrush. I am not sure if it can be done with just a brush. Perhaps someone else can help you out.

Yep, I know preshading should be done by airbrush. But I'm asking if after I preshade and add the base coat, should I still drybrush it?

Hi Shonen,
Yes you really can still drybrush as this will bring out the high points of your details...
cheers,
charlie

I thought you were asking about preshading using a brush. Oops
