Which do you thinks the best ,iv just started to put together my first academy tiger and i like what i see, it fit's well and the detail is crisp,dont get me wrong i love tamiya kits, now i love academys kits as well .so whats your good points and bad about both kits.i forgot to mention which Tiger its the early version.cheers all

I have this tiger too but in the box. It looks good. I also bought Academy link to link tracks but evrey link has two sink marks.

I have both kits too ...I have to admit that the academy kit has the interior but I find that the exterior details on the Tamiya kit crisper...The bosche lights are aweful on the Academy kit ..The turret is not asymetrical on the Academy kit and apparently the sprockets are wrong on the Academy kit too...(not exactly sure what it is I think the spokes line up wrong with the hub. I'd go with the Tamiya kit if I were you ...Unless you need the interior.I think I'll be kit bashing them together for the best of both kits.

i build a few TAmiya tiger-1 (late and initial prod)...
and i have acedemy tiger but still in the box since 2002....
compare to the plastic, both are consired good...
the academy tiger comes with interior detail...and the PE for the engine grille(i have the Mid version)...

for me, both are nice with extra bonus on the academy kits...
