Just finished the majority of the work on a couple of Dragon kits, still have some minor bits and pieces to add. The T72M2 has metal tracks and barrel, otherwise it is pretty much stock. BRDM-2 is out of the box. It will be used in a diorama eventually so I didn't weather it much until I get a ground color I can bring up onto the model.

Great models. I love t-72. Very nice weathering. The tracks should show some steel maybe.

Hi Gunnut
Very well done. What kind of idea do you have for a diorama ?

How was the kit / build on the BRDM? I need a East Bloc APC and was thinking of doing a BRDM or one of the BMP's.

LOOKS GREAT! - I love the weathering too!
- But how about painting the headlights and the searchlights (If the cover is removed!)?

The lights are all covered as was pretty much universally practiced. Saves me from having to paint them anyway. The headlights will be covered in dirt on the T-72, the lenses haven't yet been placed in the BRDM-2.
Paul,
yes the tracks are Frulis.
recon,
the BRDM was pretty simple, there were fit issues on the front end but nothing a little putty couldn't fix. I was going to use it in a Checnya diorama but I like the Russian Naval Infantry a lot too, so I couldn't wait.
Wolf6,
I was planning a Chechnya diorama using some MVD dudes coverted from Dragon figures, but I changed its destination, I will be doing a beaching diorama one of these days with Naval Infantry troops and a couple of vehicles.
On the T-72 I still have to do some track weathering, they are pretty bare still, and finish up with the details like antennae, stowage and exercise panels. I'll put it on a base and call it done.
