I found this truck on a beautiful Hawaiian island of Kauai, near what they call "Port Allen Airport" - merely an airfield in reality. It was standing in a tall grass rusting slowly, but it was still in relatively good condition, considering the fact that it was probably abandoned there quite some time ago. It was painted in typical for 1970's and 1980's four color MERDC camouflage and while rust, wind, rain and sun damaged the paint layer significantly, the camo pattern is still clearly visible.

I hope those photos will be useful for everyone building AFV Club model of this exact tanker truck type. I don't have this model yet, but now I just must add it to my collection (to my box pile that is...). Once I get the kit, I'll write a review of it using walkaround photos as a reference to check model accuracy.

Click on Vodnik's Place banner below, then go to Galleries section, then scroll down to Reference Galleries, then scroll father down to Armor sub-section and click on the link to M49A2 gallery. Or if you really must use direct link , here it is (but you will not see my web page main menu bar this way): http://vodnik2.republika.pl/pages/m49a2/m49a2.htm
