Hi Guys
Can anyone tell me please which sherman kit I'd need to build an m36B1 using the turret from the Academy kit? and could I convert the hull from the M36 to the M35 prime mover and if so would it take much work?
Pete

The M36B1 used the M4A3 Sherman hull with VVSS; therefore, Tamiya's M4A3 75mm, M4A3 105mm, old M4A3 late, Italeri's M4 USMC, M4A3 Calliope, M36B1 Jackson, or Heller's M4A3 76mm would all work for the hull. You've got several options and I did not list several that were OOP for a long time.

Stormy -- Another option for that hull (instead of building a boring old M35 prime mover) would be a Formations or other M4A2 conversion kit. You'll even have a partial interior for it (or save the driver's position for another Sherman). You know, once you start part-swapping between Sheman variants, it never ends ...

Unless you have a big, ol' gun behind it, yes Ken, it's BORING.

Dang, Ken -- you made me laugh so hard I shot beer out my nose!
Stormy --- Build what you please and be pleased with what you build. Maybe Ken can find some interior pics for an M35.
Me, I'm building GUN tanks and a couple deuce-an-a-halfs this summer. (I also need to get cracking on that T-30 75mm HMC or I'll never make deadline for the Incoming! campaign. I never thought I would have so much trouble finding a Tamiya M3A2 kit!)
