Hi guys, as promised here are some better pics of my Duck. Also I've included my SAS "Pinkie" Land Rover, completed thanks to the helpful donation of a steering hub and assembly from SofaSurfer. Thanks mate!!

Hope you like them

You did a great job on the "Pinkie" as far as the paint job and weathering goes. I do, however, think that there is something about the the sand bags that isn't quite right. IMHO they are too big and they seem to be ready to fall off. Just my observations...

I think you're right. Unfortunately they didn't take texturing too well, and by the time I really noticed the size they were dry and well and truely stuck in place. Ah well. Perhaps they're locally obtained sandbags made from grain sacks as opposed to the traditional bags. :-)

Well, I was going to say potato sacks but grain will work too :-)

I didn't realize there was that much sand in England. Must be some sort of tropical paradise!

A much more fitting back drop that the roller of last night!

Looks great.

:-) Thanks guys. The sandy beach / desert is just in front of my shed and will soon be a path. As for the hostile desert, it's less hostile than the kitchen which as you noted, is where the wife keeps here favorite weapon - her rolling pin!!
