ok , box shows them painted (side of box 3 color camo) black as if they are rubber. I am trying to verify if this is correct.

Anyone know if these were rubber or steel, the road wheels are all steel it appears.

yes the road wheels are steel.
as far at the rollers go iam painteing mine black on the side to make it look like rubber,
and the front iam makeing camo,
iam building one of these big suckers

It's a museum photo series so of course everything is covered with that garish gloss epoxie paint ,but I believe the return rollers look like rubber. On p.04 of the set there's a B&W photo in the background which shows the Morser in a field setting, looks like rubber there too. Try to ignore the vehicle in the B&W foreground , It's the ammo carrier for the 'Karl'. HTH

the karl does have rubber, rollers.

Would like to see your Karl when it's done Tazz I am going to post mine in the Incoming build I think if it turns out acceptable.
