Hi everbody:
Some time has passed since my last post. Now I´m back in my favourite hobby and I want to share with you all my last work.
It´s a Dio with a SdKfz 251/1 from Tamiya, 4 figures from Academy , one fron Dragon and one from Tamiya with the motorcycle, and the bulding ruins and street from Verlinden.
I built the base with the ruins some time ago and now I dicided to use it with this kit and figures.
I imagine for this dio a scene with Panzergranadiers preparing the defense of a village somewhere in Germany in 1945.
Coments and critics will be appreciated.

I think it looks good, but I think you should lighten up the blonde hair with a bit of white. It looks just too yellow. Great otherwise.

That is a nice looking dio so far. I like the fresh Whitewash on the hanomag. And the weathering with the Rust is very nice too.
About the dio itself it is very well painted. I like the diversity of rubble and leftbehind stuff. Also I like the touch of the walls with some of the bricks painted in another color.
You figures are well painted too as far as I can see in the pics. Still I have a question about the figures.
Some of them are wearing Winterdress while the Motordriver and the guy in the Hanomag are wearing summer smock. With the White hanomag I would think it should be a winterscene somewhere in Russia.
But the last question is more of a nitpick. I really like the scene and it is well painted.

Hi Csch...
Great looking dio....but:
The white wash on your half track is a tad bit off the rest of your dio...and the the back of your buildings seem offley grey....
I like the set-up of your dio very much, It's just the little details that should be taken care off!
No critics, just a friendly advice, John.

Very nice, overall I like it quite a bit and enjoyed viewing it.
Agreed - the yellow of the hair is a bit stark.
My own nit pick is the little rubble, for my tastest there isn't quite enough. There is some, but the smaller individual bricks and chunks that size aren't quite as populous as I would expect. Where it gets me is next to the walls at the base where they may not have been cleaned up or kicked way.
The 'blank' parts of the wall are - blank. The last photo leaves me wanting something on the two light flat walls. Either a 'nick' or small arms fire divot or crack or dark wash - something to break them up visually.
Ok - picking over - I like the framed base and the extra dark paint on the 'elevated bricks' of the road. The basic composition is quite good. It tells me that these guys are learning what's to come for them at the front or orders from the rear. Nice.
I like the walls on the brick side, that's well done. I like the variation in 'stuff' laying around and left behind.
And the white wash is well done too.

First the praise -
Now the improvements...
Still - when I compare your first full dio to one I did years ago, yours look FAR better than mine did!
- Quite nice figures... well done and good positioning and poses.
- Hano looks VERY well done... the paint job is good, and the details are tight.
- Buildings are well painted, and composition is good...
Now the improvements...
- As stated earlier, you could use a bit more debris - especially in those streets. It looks like the road has been swept clean.
- Ditto the walls... they look quite clean and clear of any chips, dust, loose mortar... thing you would expect to see in such a large destroyed building. Imagine if a T-34/85 put a half-dozen shells through your house... you would expect to see wire, support beams, fallen plaster, and dust and grime everywhere...
Still - when I compare your first full dio to one I did years ago, yours look FAR better than mine did!

Weathering, Dustying, Dirtying . Thats my only add on to this beautiful lil scene. Barrels , jerrycans, bricks , debris , most of elements seem very clean for my own taste. I mean i wash my car and in 2 hours its dusted all over again. In this bad conditions in weather, with rain, winds , probably snow and all this mud and everything i think that u should try some more dirtying on sinle elements like the ones i mentioned before. The guy's yellow hair maybe is a bit ..glowing ..but to me this acts like the center of the human part of scene so i dont take it as something to be altered. Somepeople also like to paint their hair in real life very intense colours !!!!!
Goos work there and also nice build on the vehicle

Hola CSCH
Saludos

Thank you all guys for the coments and opinions. I will make good use of them and correct some things in my dio, specially the quantity of rumble and general weathering in the ruins. I will also replace the figures with summer smocks with a pair in winter clothes, maybe with white camo.
When done I will post more pics. Now I´m also working in a Tiger I.
Thank you all.
