here are a few pics of my new vignette. the fig is from the Kampfgruppe von Luck set from dragon. nice fig, but like always, there is absolutely no expression on the face. i need to get me some hornet heads. its been a few months since ive done any modeling and my skills are a bit rusty but im relatively pleased with how it turned out. i would really like to know what you guys think about it.

This figure looks just as the vignette awesome. It`s the paintwork that makes figures alive and you sure did a good job on that.

Technique wise this is VERY well done. Spot on.
I agree the head position and expression are 'blah' not your fault at all. Hornet heads would spark it up a bit.
My only wish would be to add a few more green sprigs of grass down near the lower part, left knee and down. It's a bit similar for me and the green breaks up the top right part really well. Just a couple not much.

meissen,
Wow, for being rusty, you should did a wonderful job. I really love the paint job, and the base is very well done. Congratulations.
Just a tip: If you have a dull head, making the eyes off center, have only one eye open or make the eyebrows high, low or at different levels. Often times, doing one of the above will give a hint or suggestion of humanity to an otherwise dull face. Hope it helps.
Ciao for now
Rob

Nice looking vignette. I agree with wolf in that it looks like more than a styrene figure... great job.
Hope you didn't break the bank on that expensive "after market" ground work. It looks fantastic.

Meissen,
that's a nice vignette you produced ! The figure looks quite good, but I think the scenery is a bit too Brownish.
Maybe by adding a few spots of green grass you can "brighten it up".

Hi mate, nice job on the figure which I could get my smocks to look as good.
Just a quick point for you, no one stays alive just throwing grenades, have I missed it or does this guy not have a rifle?
Great job on the floor coverage, looks very pine foresty.
Cheers Robbo

thanks a lot for all the comments, i appreciate it. REMEARMR, great point about the rifle. i think i had originally planned to put one in, but i must have forgotten about it. i will definitely give him one. also i will add a few more tufts of grass and perhaps a few toadstools to reduce the overall browness. again, thanks for the tips!
