I bought the Planet Models Steyer K 2670 Schienenpanzer today. I figure a quick OOB multimedia kit will be fun to make for this weekend. I am awaiting an aftermarket barrel for my 1/72 scale PzKpfw 38t so I need something handy to keep me busy.
This is a 1/72 scale kit of an 8 ton armored railcar that was specifically developed for use in the Balkans. Apparently the railway system there could not support the weight of a normal armored train.
This kit consists of 18 cream colored resin parts and 14 nickle plated photoetched parts which include a 3" long railroad track base.
I included a 25¢ coin for size comparison.
Since only four trains consisting of 10 cars each were made, I wonder if this qualifies for "Project X" status?
