What hapened to them? Did you decide the didn't go along with the other ranks, and that they had no need to be there, or is it I am the only one who likes them, and by popular decision they were changed?

Not to try to speak for Jim but I'm guessing it's to make all ranks the same size. I liked the older ranks also, but now the American ranks are the same size and lay out as the British and others. They're more democratic this way.

I like the old one's too, but I must admit I didn't notice they had changed until I saw this thread. I almost never look at my rank only other's, so I thought they had opted for that display. Jim could show my rank in pineapples if he wanted.

If it's one thing I have noted since starting this site, it's that some people don't deal with change well at all.

Jiminy! Everytime that I get onto this site, it seems to change! Though, I have to admit, I liked the older ones. In fact,

to change! Thanks for your time.

I have to agree,
I don't like the brown oil slick...representing shoulder patches.
I like them as they were too.

My two cents, I like the new ranks also, everybody is pretty much the same, size wize, as everybody else. Except of course Animal who stands out like a sore thumb, but there's always one in every crowd. :-)

Hey!! It's not nice to pick on the animal. I will have to get the ASPCA on ya.

I like the NCO ratings. If it wasn't for NCO's the military would fall apart..

I changed back to the U.S. Army enlisted because I was a 2nd Lieutenant and that just will not do. I'm ex Army enlisted and it made me feel all oogy inside.

Of course, I agree with CSM Animal.

Seriously Jim,
Great job on trying to make sense of what's, at most, just a bit of fun.
I'm delighted to adopt a UK rank.... it's not RAF.... but, hey, life ain't perfect!.... i.e. Jim hasn't had a chance to add the icons yet! Wow! Give a guy a break!
I like change... what's the alternative? Stagnation?
