Wampum (Alguhan AKSAR) brings us a nice historical depiction of Tiger 221.
This feature reminds us and confirms that story is a key aspect in diorama building.

That is wonderful to see that someone spends so much time to research a diorama idea. Something that I am wanting to do on my next one. As for the diorama itself, its a wonderful piece. Using your head and finding cast off items for free make it even better in my book. Cheers Kevin

I read up on the history behind that tiger, it was pretty smart of the sherman commander how he knocked out the tiger tank.

I think I built that tiger once but user the airfix name, It seriously lacks detail, I just lost all hope, and built it straight from the box exept for hollowing the gunner's sight

I'm once again sure that, what makes diorama is its story behind. Thanks for the comments

Very nicely done, Alguhan! That was my dad's Sherman that knocked out Tiger 221 in Cecina. I'm glad to see that someone has taken the time to build a diorama of that action.
The web story appears at:
http://www.752ndtank.com/cecina.html
For an even more detailed story, check out After The Battle Magazine (Issue 114). Or an Italian language version appears in Storia e Battaglie No. 4 Settembre 2000.

Thanks a lot. That link was my start point for this diorama. Your message is really emotional to me. I'm surprised and so happy that I've bring that story alive..
I guess Robert Holt is your dad. Lieutenant Cox was the commander of that Sherman. Will you please tell me what was yor dad's position? regards
Alguhan

Alguhan,
Actually, I am Robert Holt and my father Raymond was the driver of Lt. Cox's Sherman B-11. A few weeks after this action, my father became commander of B-14.
On July 1, there will be a 60th anniversary conference in Cecina honoring the men of both sides who fought in this battle. It is good to see people from so many different backgrounds and interests keep their memories alive. Thanks again for your interest.
Best regards,
Bob Holt
