I'm not a Tiger fan, not into German armor really, but I have several in various scale:

1/16 scale Tamiya R/C Tiger I
1/25 scale Tamiya Tiger I
1/35 scale Italeri Tiger I
1/48 scale Monogram Tiger I
1/72 scale Hasegawa Tiger I

Some day I may actually build one.

Yes Tigers are a cool project tazz,my current one is a Tiger I Eastern front spring 1943.The Tiger is in German grey with a white winter cam job which is very weathered. The Kit used was the Tamiya 1/35th Tiger I (Early version) a very good kit IMHO.

Have a good one

Tiger I is one of my favourite tank too. And I think Tiger I and Sherman might be the most built armor model in the world. I am going to tackle the Tiger for my next project with tank workshop interior and Aber full upgrade set. Should be something.... :-) :-)

I am a Tigerholic. #:-)

I got the Academy Tiger 1 (early) too and can't wait to build it. I figure on using a turned alum. barrel and Indy link tracks but probably not any PE, since I have the dexterity of a bear cub wearing boxing gloves. If anyone has built it, let ne know if PE is required or if this kit is good OOTB. Thanks, keep em rollin'!

Chief -- I used the Royal Model photo-etch for my Academy Early Tiger. It gives the model some nice touches and details, but I wouldn't say it's necessary. I found the little pieces more annoying to work with than they were worth. What you might want, though, are PE grilles and fenders. Those would be easier to work with and would make a big difference.

I agree with that. You can say what You want about Tigers. But these tanks will always be milestones and legends in tank-history. At this moment I am researching an incredible history: Appearently in 11. of Mai 1945 (!) there was a Tiger-comander who faught a battle angainst Soviet troups to save cut off american troups in Austria. This history is based in eye witnesses. Would perhaps be an interesting research subject for this site? Anyway: Here comes the tiger (1 EH, Tamiya 1:25):
