Hi guys, I'm thinking about buying a new airbrush and have been looking at the Aztec A470. The descriptions in the advertisements look good but does anyone here have experience with this model and if so was it good or bad?

I have one and have only had a chance to use it once, but it was pretty good. Hope to get a little more time in to use it.
You might want to check out E-Bay before you buy one.
I got mine brand new with an instructional video
for just about half of what they retail for,and that included the shipping .

You'll get a wide range of replies on this one. Some hate it and praise their Iwata, others like it. Personally I chose that model because the novel design convinced me and it seemed like good value for my limited budget.

So far I've been happy and haven't heard a complaint from a friend who got one as well, based on my recommendation.

I have a 430 aztek which is the same brush just slightly different grip and not as much included with it. I love it. Paints great, easy to control and can paint fine lines. I say go for it.

Used one for about a year. Very easy cleanup, which makes color changes easier. I primarily use the tan and gray tip for general painting and the red tip for camoflage. If you have a Michaels near you, they may stock the 470 kit and they usually have a 40% off coupon in their Sunday ad.

I agree with Druid.. I actually have 2 and as long as you make sure you clean them properly, you shouldn't have any problems ..

BD,
try ordering them from www.bearair.com in the
states as they have them alot cheaper than
here in the UK even with shipping it'll work out
cheaper :-)

Martin I used to use the Aztec 470. its a good brush, but I've been using an Iwata for about a year now. I find I prefer the Iwata Airbrushes to the Aztec line. I guess its the Easier cleaning of the Iwata and the traditional design. I also find the Iwata to be easier to troubleshoot in a pinch. Plus the Nozzle doesn't wear out. I also don't replace one if I do have an issue with the the brush. STUG
