Hello,
New here and know this is the armor page, but it's the high traffic area and I'm hoping someone here knows someone who can help. A sort of 6-degrees of modeling seperation thing.

Does anyone out there know of any plans/references for the PACV hovercraft used in Viet Nam?

I'd love to scratchbuild one, but can't quite dredge up enough info/plans to get started.
I have a copy of the Naval Institute Press "US Small Combatants" but it's not enough to get started.
I know that at least 2 in 1/35th scale have been built, having been featured in back issues of MMiR and other publications. Anyone know either of these guys?

There's one in the US Army Transportation Museum at Fort Eustis let me dig around and see if I can find the pictures I took last year.

Gunny you got to check this museum out. There's a picture of Nancy and a lot of other gun truck info.

Great! I figured this would be the place to ask.
In the post 9-11 world, is there still public access to the museum at Ft. E?
Is the PACV open to the public?

Ahhhh, how about just a wee bit more info on that CRYPTO1. After that 'tease', and you know it is to a bunch o' modeling fanatics like this crowd, you've gotto expand on that! You, know, Who/What/Where/When, etc, etc, etc.

Tread.

BTW, sounds like you're 'in' the modeling community at the developement stage. Hmm, nothing like reading a post early in the morning that makes you red-faced jealous!

Just kidding CRYPTO1.....good on ya Mate!
