One possibility is that the paint is drying in mid air before it hits the model from the airbrush.
One question I have is what are you thinning the paint with.
If using alcohol you can try using distilled water for a "wetter mix".
If that doesn't work there is a product that is an Acrylic Retarder. Can be found in any arts and craft store. It slows the drying process of the paint down so midair drying doesn't occur. Giving the paint the same "wetter mix" as the water..

Hope this helps

What acrylics are you using? Probably you didn't shake the bottle well so the hardened paint and the liquid did not mix well.

I have experienced this with Tamiya Acrylics only.

sounds like you have your paint ratio not mixed enough also you might have your air to high. How old is the paint ? if it's realy old it will start to (as i put it rot)
you might have to look into geting new paint (i still have Gunze from 1993) I realy need to look into some newer paint

hmm, tube acrylics, never used but if its the same as my tube oils, diluting the acrylics with water would be a realy realy realy good thing.

try going to a dollarama, try walmart, home depot, canadien tire( dont know what kind of stores you have around) and try to find other acrylics, mine are sold 1$ per bottle around and i get realy nice jobs using a brush. but not for ym AB, il have to get an airbrush medium so it doesnt clog up my AB nozzle ( thats using an aztek 320, now i just got a badger 150 so it might be ok) so look around ofr different types of paint is basicly what i mean... a lot of peopel use valejos( cant spell) but i never gave the ma try....
