hey guys,
I know a few of you guys out there had your nozzle clog up when airbrushing with acrylics because they dry to fast. the same happens to me, i thought of going back to enamels but i realy love the facility of mixing paints and diluting acrylics. so i thought of buyign a new nozzle, but for 14$, i changed my mind... and searched for another solution and found this :
http://www.currys.com/airmediums/prodinfo.asp?SubcatID=19&catID=5
take a look, i didnt try it yet, but iam lookign forward to it!

I find it depends on what kind of acrylic paint you are using.
I have used mostly MM Acrylics and Tamiya Acrylics
MM Acrylics dry really fast....the only airbrush I have gotten them to work OK in is a Badger 350....didn't matter what I thinned them with.
Tamiya on the other hand....I can spray till the cows come home and it never drys up....have done a long session spraying a couple of different kits using the same colors over 30-45mins and they didn't dry up....the MM stuff....would be lucky if I got 5 mins of decent spraying before it dryed up.
And that is spraying in a Badger 200 or Aztek 4709

I have a Paasche VLS and use Tamiya acrylics exclusively and I've never had any sort of problems with them using Tamiya's X-20A Thinner.
