I chanced upon a Trumpeter Ti67 (?), an Egyptian T55 captured and used by the IDF. Any comments or reviews available before I plunk down hard-earned cash to get it?
Thanks!

Hi Andrew,
To build an IDF Ti67, you have many choice : Tamiya T-55A+Verlinden conversion kit, Italeri T-55 (ex ESCI) and Trumpeter Ti67.
The Trumpeter plastic quality is not as good as the Tamiya but you can build 2 versions of the IDF Ti67 :
Tiran 4 (soviet 100mm gun) and Tiran 5 (105mm gun).
It depend on your work, for me, after painting and weathering, there is not different between the Tamiya T-55 and Trumpeter Ti67 (Friulmodel track for Tamiya T-55 and Armour Track Models for Trumpeter Ti67). The price of Trumpeter Ti67 is quite good.

Merci, Francois! Maybe I'll wait a while -- I like the quality of the Tamiya t55 but not the price. The Trumpeter kit is half the cost but if the plastic isn't as responsive...

Hi,
Trumpeters T55 is at low price, but hull is wrong (as the Esci kit)
Tamiya's kit is more expensive but right,.
You must choose, money or accuraty
Cheers

I'll be putting up a whole article on building an IDF tiran in the next month or so on my site. In short however if you want to build a Tiran 4/5 ( never called ti/67 most came from 73 anyway) tyour best bet is the tamiya kit with Blast conversion. legends conversion is second with Trackz third and verlindens set a don't bother. As to track check out terry Ashley's comparison of all the workable types on his Perth site.
