I've noticed many of the paint manufacturers have a paint called "Olive Green" or "Olive Drab". Then, there often is a paint color called something like "Olive Drab ANA 613" or "US Olive Drab A/N613". What are those other kinds of Olive Drab? What does the "ANA 613" or "A/N613" mean? Also, when might you use those instead of just the regular Olive Drab? Thanks in advance.

Olive green, olive drab, etc. are generic colors. Add the ANA613 and it's a very specific color matched to US Military standards during the WWII period, just like colors are matched to FS395a.
When you'd use ANA613, you'd have to check your references for that.

Hi armorguy:
Olive Green and Olive Drab are two different colours.
Olive Drab is the colour commonly used by the US Army in WW2 and Olive Green (Olivegrün) was a colour used by the Germans also in WW2.
As AjLaFleche said ANA613 is a colour code as FS used to match a specific standard.
Model Master and Humbrol have very good Olive Drab enamels. Personally I like the Humbrol Olive Drab.
