There was a post recently talking about all the changes lately and someone (Rob I think) posted that there have been MANY changes since the site began.

Here is the proof:

Cheers,

Hi Jim

My only regret is that I didn't discover Armorama in those early days.

The great thing is, despite all the additions since then, it's obvious from that screen-shot that you've maintained the essential character of Armorama. I think we could all log onto the earlier incarnation and feel at home.

Thanks all the effort that you pour in - day in, day out - to make Armorama so good.

Hi again

Jim, is this page a one-off, or can you access other snapshots of Armorama's history?

It might be really fun to have "2 years ago today" and "1 year ago" links for all us nostalgia freaks.

All the best

Now that is cool Jimbo! What a blast from the past.

Keep that pic safely stored for more future references.

Actually, some of those pages still pop up. Click on the "SHOPPING" link on the left side of this page and when you go to the "Apparel Store", the same format appears with the Boot Camp, Firing Range, Radio Shack and Recon Photo link.

I still use this page when I need a quick back door to the old gallery and my motor pool.

What a diference a couple of years makes. I wonder how many other model sites [if any] have evolved so fast in such a short time to encourage participation?

Howdy fellas,

Tread.

Something I also remember (and miss) are Kenc' regular History Channel Updates in the Forum's.....

I only have been here alittle bit and the site has inproved. From that snap shot from 2002 MAN what a change. What was the official day and time.

If I could ask how many people signed up the first day, or even week.

Who has been here the longest looks like a lot have been here since the beginning. Some people have 3-4 thousand post that's a lot of knowledge.

Happy Modeling

I just use the "polls" button to the left, remember when there was voting on the splash campaign? It was in the old gallery, that what I use to get there.

Jeez! I can only remember when the site was still OD!

Hey all...

If you want to see the evolution of Armorama (or any site for that matter) just check out archive.org. There are usually snapshots going back a ways.

Here's the listings for Armorama.

The earliest is December 1991.

good to see Armorama is not only a part of our daily life but also started to be a part of our memories.
Long live Big-A and congrats Jim.
