Any good ideas on what colors to mix to get a nice fairly tan flesh color for painting figures?

I know they make a flesh tone, but I didn't buy it, thats why I am asking if you have any good mixture formulas.

I use Model Master and Humbrol enamels. That's all I can tell you about Tamiya acrylics

When I mix flesh colors I start with a light red/brown color, then I add some yellow and perhaps some white.

Do you use oil after a flat acrylic base? Eyes are the thing that are hard.

No Jeff, I use acrylics entirely...for now. I have it in mind to give oils a whirl...one day.

For a taned flesh try a terracotta or a reddish brown, and mix with white, and perhaps even some yellow, just make sure that the brown paint isnt to red or the face will be very reddish.
