Hi all! I'm looking for some advice from all you German softskin experts.
I'm working on a June 1944 dio featuring a Schwimmwagen and I wanted to know if the Germans would likely have painted the camoflauge pattern on the underside of the vehicle as well as on the top and sides. Were there any special paint schemes applied to the bottoms of these vehicles or would the crews have figured nobody was supposed to see them from the underside, so why bother?
I'm assuming the latter, but I would rather know than assume! Thanks all!
P.S. This is for my entry in the "Move It!" campaign, so any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks again!

Probably the underneath would be the base colour, which would be german yellow or panzer grey, not that you would see much of it,and it would probably be covered in muck and other stuff from the terrain it was driving in.
I dont see why they would paint a cam scheme on the bottom nobody but the ants and worms would see it.
So no cam scheme is probably the way to go.
