Don't suppose anyone would have a photo of the upper hull panels of the NBC unit on the M1A1? Seems they should go farther back towards the turret ring rather than just the rectangle that kits portray. (basing this on the drawings on the Yahoo M1 group site). Just wondering if the drawings were accurate. No one ever seems to mention it in build-ups or reviews.

Drawings on Yahoo group are accurate in this respect. And I DID mention this problem in my Abrams kits Comparison article (http://vodnik.net/index_feat.htm.

So you did! Your article is so full of information that I didn't remember seeing that bit. I was thinking more about magazine articles and such, not too often you see anybody correcting this area, guess most of it is hidden under the turret anyway. I remember seeing a photo of someone fixing it (perhaps on the recent Abrams build/thread), and now that I know it's there, I have to fix it too!
