card board boxes are pretty straight forward. Get some heavy stock paper and cut out templates, then glue them up with white glue. Paint with any water based paint (not to wet thought)

Take apart a real box (for referance) and do as the above reply instructs. Fold creases as you would photoetching, using a single edged razorblade.

Just a guess though, I've never done that before, but that's how I would do it myself.

Extra detail has a lot of boxes, from WWII up till now,
Try looking here http://www.plasticmodelbouw.nl/ at what Extra detail has to offer.

Use paper from a brown paper bag, like you get at the grocery store. Ronny gives you a nice template to get you started.

I wanted to give all you guys and gals a look at Natos boxes. Here are three on the back of the kettenkrad. My eyes are tired but with glasses or magnifying glass i can make out every word on them.
