Hello All,
Have a question about the Italeri M-36-B1 gun. This gun has no breech block,.
so are there any suggestions about a fix, other than scratch building?
Would it be possible to take the breech block from another kit's gun and use it.
Perhaps from an M-46 or M-47?
Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Joe

It should be pretty easy to scratch one from styrene.
Here are some nice reference pics -- it's a pretty simple breech. http://mmcalc.tripod.com/Shermans/M36/M36.html

Hi Bob,
Define easy. I'm not that handy. I'm doing well to get a kit together.
I appreciate the link, but if bad goes to worse, there's always the "old tarp over the turret" method.
Regards,
Joe
