Here's the figure so far. We are in the process of making a mold of the bare head so we can sculpt a tankers helmet on one casting and a bandage on the second one. We will give both heads with the figure so he can be used as a healthy USMC Tanker or as a casualty being evecuated on the back of a tank. The Warriors soon to be released figure of the Marine on a stretcher would be a great companion piece, since many wounded Marines were carried from the battlefield on tanks.
Here is a color still frame taken from some 16mm movie film shot in WWII. Some interseting details are the bent light guard, the absence of the horn and light itself. These items were removed and stored inside of the tank much of the time. The writing on the drivers front plate is not readable in this shot, but I will go back and look at the original film and try to decipher it.
An excellent color photo taken by a vet on Okinawa, the tank is green with some black camoflauge splotches and what appears to be some type of fittings on the front glacis. The original of this photo is 8x10 so I may post a detail of the fittings area.
This picture is also a frame from color movie film taken on Iwo Jima in 1945. As you can clearly see the name of the tank and the writing on the gun tube are in white paint and not yellow as previously believed. I have just had a set of dry transfer/vinyl mask markings done for this vehicle.
These pictures are a few of the new pics that I will post on the hardcorpsmodels.com website this weekend. Stop by and see 'em all.

Looking great Dave. The color shots are a nice addition!
From my angle, the writing on the front plate looks to be "BETTE". Of course I could be wrong.
