Hi all,
Finally after some searching and worried times I have finally found some pictures of NZ M4A1 75mm Shermans. I am quite certain that the first pic is of a NZ sherman but the second i am not to sure but at least it was used by the commonwealth forces.
I hope some one other than me finds this interesting :-)

Hi Andy ..yeah those are M4A1's at the second battle of El Alemein...These were some of the first Shermans to see action you can tell they are very early direct vision hulls with M3 style suspension.. The camo was a light stone and charcoal grey ..
Nice find ..

Thanks for the heads up on the camo rick I was wondering what that was.
Would the Italeri M4A1 hull be suitable or is it a later version?
TIA

Andy, you may be able to use the Italeri lower hull for a conversion But I think that would be all You would need the early style hull, turret, transmission cover and M3 Lee style bogies
I am suprised that type, other than the old Monogram 1/32 kit has not been available in plastic

I agree with Zod. Only the lower hull is usable, since there was little change in it from one version of the Sherman to the next with the exception of the M4A4 and perhaps escape hatch layout. The bogies, transmission cover, and upper hull are all for later versions of the M4A1.
