I was in touch with Corporate Casuals today. They would be able to set up an online store and fufill single item orders on a limited range of apparel products. So that means you could get a logo on pretty much any type of apparel item they carry in the store (shirts, hats, jackets, etc.). The other nice thing about them is that they will allow you to select the color and size you desire. The base cost is $25 for a golf shirt. I could charge more according to their site and make profits, but I wouldn't do that to my "charter" members. Maybe down the road it would be a good way for the site to make operating monies, but I would put that off till at least after the summer.
So that just leaves the $100 charge for the embroidery set-up charge. This is a one-time deal. A couple of you expressed a willingness to once-again pitch in and try to cover (or at least defray some of this cost). I just wanted to get some feedback on this and see where more of you might stand. Even if I can raise half this amount I would be willing to cover the remainder myself.
Comments? Questions?
Thanks,
Jim

As I stated before I could help again. Could you add a link so we could check out what the options would be as far as shirts, hats, etc.

That's pretty slick. I like it because you have plenty of choices as in what you want. Count me in. Your planning on using the Armorama.com log on the left side of the header?

Bryan,
Yes. I would also like everyone's input on the rest. Catch phrase? No catch-phrase?
I was thinking of using my original "The Web Site for Military Scale Modelers"
OH! Almost forgot! They can do personalized names on the shirts for like $3 more.

Excellent job Jim! Not only did you find an excellent source of apparel (very patriotic I might add). But you also solved the issue of 'who wants what' & 'in what colour', nice... :-) :-) :-)
As usual, count on me. I'll qeue up as soon as they're ready. As far as pitching in with the initial cost thing, again, count on my support. Would be nice to get some of these new guys involved. It's good to see the ranks begin to 'swell'
Later,
Tread.

Tread,
Thanks. You've already got a credit of $6 on this one.
Swelling ranks - Yeah I loved the 500+ visitors on the counter today. A glitch I'm afraid. Don't believe all the Internet counters out there folks. The AFV News site is proud that they are about to hit 2 million on their counter (and they should be!) but they are mis-informed about the counter. It counts page views, not visitors. Everytime somebody refreshes or goes back to the main forum page the counter goes up by one. Very much like the counters for this site.
Which as long as I am mentioning it will soon exceed 400,000 page views. And we are just shy of 150,000 just for this month alone. That means we will likely have over 300K for February. Not bad I must say. Thanks everyone! You make this site come alive.

Ok...I created a mock shirt and put it with a news story. Just click on the ArmoramaWear™ story on the homepage or in Announcements.
I would like to get this done soon as April is fast approaching and I don't know how long it takes them to set up the logo, etc.
Thanks for everyones help on this!
