Has anyone ever suggested a campaign gallery, where one photo of each entry (with the member's name) could be viewed so that everyone can see the results of the campaign. If it's not feasable as a permanent feature, maybe it could be left up for something like 30 days

We do that already. If you go to the
GALLERY and go to the
AFV/ARMOR category (for example), you will see the various
Campaign Albums of past and present group builds. Most entries are limited to one or two photos of each entry (Barbarossa got messed up and there are a multitude of some photos in there).
