Hey all-
I have chosen the task of building an M8 Buford in level III armor for the Project X build and have found it to be an intimidating task indeed. While the fact that it has not entered service is a blessing in terms of artistic licence, it is a curse in the fact that there are limited references on this tank. So enters my plea to the great modelers of Armorama: does anyone have any references (especially line drawings and specifications) to this tank or know anyone I could contact to receive any references? Another question (much less daunting than the first ): does anyone know what markings were placed on 82nd Airborne Sheridans when they were in service? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Kyle

Hunnicutt Sheridan book has information regarding the M8 AGS including 82nd Airborne markings (from their Sheridans).

It was posted on this site and in Army Times awhile ago that four of the five M8's produced are being issued to the 82nd AB. Maybe we might see some photos someday.

Rob, thanks for the post. Now it just comes down to finding the book.
bf443, unfortunately, I don't really have time to wait for new photos as this build is for the Project X campaign. However, I am sure that new photos of the M8 in Iraq will show up...... after I am done with my project.
