cool dio man...i like the elephant...i think thats gonna be my next tank to build! is it a dragon kit? tell me the pros and cons of the kit u built for it pls. but a few sugestions...ur dio kinda looks a little too pretty! dirty the rocks up with a few washes and drybrush the groundwork if it is sturdy enough. also if i were u i wouldve made a few holes in the static grass with the groundwork showing thru so it doesnt look like a baseball field. but yea i love ur work and good luck on the dio.
PS maybe add moss to the rock by getting woodland scenics fine turf and affix it with thinned white glue like u used with the static grass, but remeber moss only grows on the north side of things and in the damp/dark cracks and sides of the rock!
cheers
ian

Bus, It is coming along nicely. I agree maybe some moss around the boulder, and also maybe some taller grasses around its base as well. Also maybe tone down the green a bit on the grass, maybe dry bursh with a little yellow in places but do it real lightly. and maybe a couple patches of dry grass too(browns) and you may want to make the edge a little less uniform between the road side and the grass areas. try not to make it so neat . This is just my 2 cents. I love the way its coming together, its going to be an awesome dio when its done. Oh one last thought, you might add a tank commander. I take it the tank is stopped? If so he probably would be up through his hatch talking to the soldier on the horse. Cheers and keep us posted. Kevin

The rocks have come out very well. I think the second shot is to bright because of the lighting no because the rocks are to monotone. I like the 1st photo.
Have to agree with others on the grass.
I like the composition, there's something about the mxi of animal and machine that catches your attention.
Don't forget to give the frame a nice clean stain or paint job when it's all done.

Very nice rock. Have you considered turning the Elephant so that it is using the rock for cover and firing over it?

Monte-
The rock is cast in plaster from a woodland scenics silicon mold
It was painted with enamels and weathered with oils/pastels
